3.1 What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies include pixels, tags, scripts, local storage and device identifiers. In this policy, “cookies” covers all of them.
3.2 How we use cookies
We use four types of cookie:
- Strictly necessary — needed for the website to work, keep it secure, prevent fraud, and remember your cookie choices. These do not need your consent.
- Functional — remember your preferences and improve how the website looks and works for you.
- Analytics — help us understand how visitors use the website so we can improve it. UK law allows certain analytics and functional cookies to be used without consent where they are used only for these purposes and you are given a simple way to object. Where we rely on this, you can switch them off at any time in our cookie settings.
- Advertising and marketing — used by us and our advertising partners (such as Google and Meta) to show you relevant adverts, measure ad performance, and build audiences of people who have visited our website. We only use these with your consent.
When you first visit, our cookie banner lets you accept all cookies, reject non-essential cookies, or choose by category. You can change your choices at any time using the “Cookie settings” link in the website footer.
Some of the tools that run on our website or set cookies — including our website platform and hosting, analytics, advertising, security and form tools — use artificial intelligence or machine learning to process the information they collect, for example to detect bots and spam, analyse how visitors use the website, or target and optimise adverts. Our Privacy Notice (section 2.5) explains how we use AI.

3.4 Third-party cookies
Some cookies are set by third parties, such as Google, Meta, LinkedIn, YouTube (for embedded videos) and WhatsApp (for our chat link). These third parties may use the information under their own privacy policies, including combining it with other data they hold about you and processing it outside the UK. See section 2.9 of our Privacy Notice for how we protect international transfers.

3.5 Tracking in emails
Our marketing emails may contain pixels and tracked links that tell us whether an email has been opened and which links were clicked. You can avoid this by unsubscribing, or by disabling automatic image loading in your email program.
3.6 Managing cookies
You can change your preferences at any time through our cookie settings. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings, although parts of the website may not then work properly. Guidance is available at www.aboutcookies.org. To opt out of Google Analytics across websites, you can install Google’s opt-out browser add-on.
3.7 Changes
We may update this policy when we change the cookies we use or when the law changes. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
